Yates Fund for Cancer Hope – Cindystock 6 Featuring Dan Navarro, Rhythm Angels, Cellofourte, Jim Relja & Maura Elyse

It is our pleasure to invite you to Cindystock 6 – our annual concert fundraiser to help raise money for cancer screening tests and related support services. This year as we come together for the 6th time, we have a lot to celebrate. Last year’s event received the highest attendance, newspaper recognition and most importantly we donated over $7,000. Contributions were made to organizations providing cancer screening tests for many people who have little or no health insurance and otherwise would not have had access to these potentially life-saving tests. Proceeds were also used to help two families who lost a parent to cancer and to provide over $700 in nutritional supplements to cancer patients whose income was so low they were choosing between medicine and food.

We are especially proud to announce that The Yates Fund for Cancer Hope has now received non-profit charitable status under IRS Section 501(c)(3). We hope that this will now allow us to continue to grow even larger, solicit more sponsorship and overall help more people. As a non-profit organization, we are committed to providing education, screening and awareness for cancer prevention and to provide funds to organizations whose mission is to provide cancer research, screening and support services. Funds may also be distributed to families in need.

At Cindystock 6, we promise you excellent entertainment, delicious food and an opportunity to use a day of relaxing and listening to music to support a good cause. We sincerely hope you will join us and bring along some of your friends. When we held our first concert 6 years ago, we could never have expected to continue and grow. We’ve been so blessed to meet so many incredible people in this process. Through the generosity of those people, we have helped spread the word about cancer prevention. Breast, cervical, prostate and colon cancers are all curable when detected at an early stage. Once again our proceeds will be focused on programs aimed at those cancers whose effects can be minimized by established screening tests. Recipients for screening will include Adagio Health, Obediah Cole Foundation and UPCI. We are also proud to assist the Pittsburgh support groups: Cancer Caring Center and Satchels of Caring.

Note: this event is not affiliated with New Sun Rising, but we fully support the ongoing efforts of former NSR Board Member Cindy Yates through her Yates Fund for Cancer Hope.  Please join us at the concert- it is always a great time.
