New Sun Rising

Rock the Streets Summer Jam is an annual community event and concert that seeks to highlight Pittsbugh's music, art, and activism while raising money for Community Human Services (www.chscorp.org).  CHS, is a non-profit that provides programs to those less fortunate in our area.  This year, Rock the Streets is being held at Shadow Lounge/AVA on Saturday June 12th.  The event will include DJ's, VIP bartenders, bands, and an art show/sale.  Basically, all of the necessary Summer good-time components.  Follow announcements, event details, and more at www.rockthestreets.net, or on twitter @RockTheStreets.

Our tentative kick off date for the 2010 Horizon Experience events is coming up quickly!! Children are accepted on a first come, first served basis and we are looking for adult moderators and donors for food and drinks.  Come on out and have a great time, the kids will learn something and so will you!!  Contact Scott at swolovich@yahoo.com for details.

   Friends - please come out to join in the latest meeting of the Millvale Community Library!  Architectural designs are complete, the building permits have been received, and funding is starting to come through...this community dream is becoming a reality!  We need your help as we move into the final push on the library!  Meeting will be held at the future home of the library at 213 Grant Ave, Millvale  - hope to see you there!
