We have committed to holding neighborhood clean-ups once a month up to and including October, 2007. For all cleanup efforts we meet in the parking lot of the Millvale Community Center. If you are interested and able to join in, or help out in anyway, it would be much appreciated! We could use help in the following ways:
- Recruiting volunteers and volunteering to help cleanup;
- Food or beverages for the post clean-up meals;
- Help in getting the word out;
- Our goal is to have at least one group or organization to join in with our volunteers for each of these days.

2008 Millvale Neighborhood Cleanup Work
The 2007 cleanup season came to a successful completion in October. Many thanks to all of the volunteers who got out and involved in making Millvale a cleaner place!
We are also please to announce that the monthly cleanups will continue in 2008, and we will be partnering with Allegheny Cleanways to make these efforts more successful. More information on Allegheny Cleanways can be found at:

Speaking of partnerships...in 2008, the New Sun Rising will continue to be heavily involved in the cleanup work, however we are also pleased to announce that these efforts will be coordinated, and promoted through the Millvale Business Development Corporation. More details will be available at: www.millvaleboroughpa.gov and once the schedule is created, you can continue to find regular updates and information on the cleanup dates here on our home page.
