Cultural Gumbo: music, food, & art festival

Let’s chase the winter blues away and celebrate the Mardi Gras season with an evening of music, art, food, and community. Born from an event supporting New Orleans’ musicians after Hurricane Katrina, the Cultural Gumbo helps creatives and grassroots projects thrive while raising funds for our shared community space: the Food + Energy Hub in Millvale.

Mark your calendar for Friday February 24 as New Sun Rising and Sprezzatura present the 2023 Cultural Gumbo, including a New Orleans inspired menu from Sprezzatura, live music on the Cafe and Purple Onion Stages, and some of Pittsburgh’s best visual artists including Marlon Gist, JY Originals, and screen printing with Quaishawn Whitlock. Support local culture and help us continue to grow the Hub as a place to create, connect, and celebrate together.

Purchase tickets in advance for a discount ($20) or get them at the door while they last ($30). Food, drinks, and art will be available for purchase during the event.
