Triboro Ecodistrict Workshop

The Triboro Ecodistrict is holding a free two-day event (March 25-26) to connect local communities, share some of the best practices we have learned and hold workshops to help apply the ecodistrict strategies in a way that fits each specific community.

This event will feature speakers who will share the story of the Triboro Ecodistrict’s work in Sharpsburg, Etna and Millvale both past and present as well as general information on the Pittsburgh region’s ecodistrict efforts. These speakers will include both members of the Triboro Ecodistrict and partners that have been key to the successes. Additionally, workshops will be held on topics such as coalition building, strategies we have learned along the way and accessing resources. Participants will have a chance to hear from speakers, and will engage and plan to bring back these lessons to their communities.

Participants will include people from throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area who are at various stages of this work from beginner to implementation, so this event will serve to be a place to connect with others and see what communities around the region are up to.

The Ecodistrict Workshop will be held from 10am-2pm on Friday, March 25th and Saturday, March 26th at the Millvale Food + Energy Hub (112 Sherman Street, Millvale, PA 15209). Lunch and refreshments will be provided both days by Sprezzatura. Save the dates
