SUMMARY:Radical Mental Health Reading Group
DESCRIPTION:The Radical Mental Health Reading Group is a recurring informal discussion on different texts in radical mental health / Mad Pride / CSX. This series will be more academically-based than our current Mental Health Cafe series (mutual aid focused). We will be concentrating on the chapter on “What is Radical Mental Health?” – but anyone is welcome to propose topics or join in if they haven’t read it. \nIneffable is wheelchair accessible through the main entrance (through the lot and then a side door). On-street parking is free at night. Nearby bus stops include the 54\, 86\, 87\, 88\, 91. \nIf you cannot find the group or are nervous/anxious upon arriving\, please private message our Facebook page or text the Inside Our Minds phone line: (412) 438-3278.

SUMMARY:Inclusive Decision Making for Business and Community
DESCRIPTION:For all the good they can do\, many businesses\, agencies\, and community organizations can also be less than inclusive in their decision making. Increasingly\, businesses and community organizations see being more inclusive as a way to create more value in what they do. It’s of course about doing the right thing but also about “firing on all cylinders” and having a diverse set of skills and perspectives in the house. \nYou should walk out of this event with new acquaintances and colleagues and allies in our quest to make Pittsburgh’s business and community development scene more inclusive\, efficient\, and vibrant. \nJoin members of the Pittsburgh Chamber of Cooperatives to hear their stories of how they make their decision making more inclusive and productive. \nThis\, like all Inclusive Innovation Week events\, is free.

SUMMARY:Storytellers Happy Hour by Storyburgh
DESCRIPTION:In mid November 2015\, Storyburgh was officially born after New Sun Rising accepted its “conceptual” application to be part of its one year long Launch Hiltop social incubation project. Two months ago we redesigned our website to reflect more refined missions:\n– give voice to marginalized populations by telling their underreported stories and\n– enable organizational stakeholders to visualize and understand the causes they serve \nTo date\, here is what we have so far: http://www.storyburgh.org/R1/metrics \nIf you are a storyteller — in written or visual form (or both) who is also passionate about improving conditions of Pittsburgh marginalized communities\, please come and join us. \nIf you are just interested in what Storyburgh is or just want to celebrate our past year results\, please come too — it’s a happy hour after all.
