A Moth-style storytelling event: Stories of Struggle and Survival
In December 2018, StoryburghLive! premiered a moth-style storytelling event with the theme of “Inspirations & Appreciations” that was held in Ace Hotel Pittsburgh and attended by 70+ people.
This year Storyburgh is partnering with PublicSource to produce “Stories of Struggle and Survival” that will be held at the Great Room in East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM). Other media partners are 90.5 WESA and 91.3 WYEP.
The stories will be as diverse as the storytellers themselves as they work as community activist, academic, professional, nonprofit and government workers. Moreover, most of them have either experienced or are/were working in the low wage/poverty/homelessness space.
Please join us to listen to their authentic and personal stories that reflect the humanity behind their roles and occupations in our community.
*The event is free; any donation is welcome and appreciated.
Storyburgh and PublicSource are both nonprofit organizations.
