Planting Day for the Newborns

Interested in creating healthy communities for newborn children? Care about the natural environment around Pittsburgh? Volunteer with Plant Five for Life on one of the 3 planting days during a shift of your choice! Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is generously hosting the first pilot planting of 5000 trees for 1000 newborns. 1,200 were planted in April and on October 17, 24, and 27, we will plant 3,800 more. Work will involve planting restoration size trees and securing deer protection at a former coal mine site. Bring your friends!
