Radical Mental Health Reading Group

The Radical Mental Health Reading Group is a recurring informal discussion on different texts in radical mental health / Mad Pride / CSX. This series will be more academically-based than our current Mental Health Cafe series (mutual aid focused). This is a great event if you’d like to learn more about radical mental health and/or discuss your thoughts with other members of the community!

We will be continuing our discussion of “Mindful Occupation: Rising Up Without Burning Out” – available for free online (linked below), or purchase the zine from Microcosm Publishing. http://mindfuloccupation.org/files/booklet/mindful_occupation_singles_latest.pdf. We will be concentrating on the chapter on “What is Radical Mental Health?” – but anyone is welcome to propose topics or join in if they haven’t read it.

Ineffable is wheelchair accessible through the main entrance (through the lot and then a side door). On-street parking is free at night. Nearby bus stops include the 54, 86, 87, 88, 91.
