Kate’s Kid Book Bash

The vision of Kate’s Kid Book Bash is to inspire a love of books and reading in all of Pittsburgh’s children by providing access to authors, illustrators, and stories that reflect their diverse world. Our annual free-to-the-public children’s book festival features a book sale and signing with some of today’s most influential children’s authors and illustrators. In addition, we organize programs throughout the year that support our mission: to create literary experiences for kids that strengthen their sense of belonging in the world.

Kate’s Kid Book Bash is named after beloved Pittsburgh children’s author Kate Dopirak who lost her life to a neurodegenerative disorder at the age of 43.
